The Teaching Activity Assessment Support Programme (DOCENTIA) seeks to meet the demand of universities and the needs of the educational system for a model and procedures to ensure the quality of the university teaching staff and to boost its development and acknowledgement.

The aim of the programme is to support universities in the design and application of their own teaching assessment procedures in order to ensure the quality of their teaching staff and to promote its development and acknowledgement through its external assessment by an agency.

The programme takes into account the commitment of ANECA to take part in and support the different frameworks of technical collaboration with the universities, regional agencies and Education Authorities of the Autonomous Regions. Along these lines, ACSUG and ANECA have signed an Agreement for Collaboration to undertake this programme in the area of the Galician University System, maintaining coherence at all times by using a common model.
