COMPLEMENTARY COMPENSATION: REGULATION
Complementary lecturing staff compensation included in the LOU
Organic Law 6/2001, dated 21 December, on universities, article 55 (temporary lecturing and research staff) and article 69 (tenured lecturing and research staff), establishes that the Autonomous Communities may establish additional compensation linked to individual teaching, research and management merit.
Regional decree
In development of these two articles, Decree 55/2004, dated 4 March, which establishes additional compensation linked to individual teaching, research and management merit for university lecturing staff, was published to establish the scheme for this regional complementary compensation for tenured lecturing and research staff and temporary lecturers in the public universities of Galicia .
Decree 55/2004 establishes four types of complements:

Complement in recognition of teaching work.
2-
Complement in recognition of research work.
3-
Complement in recognition of curricular excellence in teaching and research.
4-
Complement in recognition of management posts.
The Order dated 16 April 2004 publishes the evaluation protocol created by the Galician Reports, Evaluation, Certification and Accreditation Commission (CGIACA) regarding the criteria and assessment merits, and the procedure for requesting:

The complement in recognition of teaching work.
2.
The complement in recognition of research work.
