ACSUG is an independent company and was established as a Consortium between the Regional Government of Galicia and the three universities of the Galician University System. 2. ACCESS TO AND USE OF THE WEB SITE, ITS SERVICES AND CONTENTS ACSUG provides users with the contents and services located on its Web site, according to these conditions of access and use. These conditions may be regularly updated by ACSUG without prior notice, whenever considered appropriate, and may be consulted by users at all times. The contents of the ACSUG Web site are managed and prepared by ACSUG, except for the information from sources outside the Web site itself, the origin of which or any other information relating thereto will be indicated. In these cases, ACSUG is not liable for the lack of precision or updating of the information from said external sources, given that its liability is established solely in relation to contents from its own sources that are duly identified with its copyright. Users agree to use the services and information provided by ACSUG respecting generally-accepted principles of use and good faith and without breaching public order or current legislation. Users are also forbidden from using the contents for any type of criminal or illegal purpose or that may, in some way or another, damage the normal operations of the Web site or of others either directly or indirectly, whatever the result. CONTENT COPYRIGHT The texts and graphic elements forming the ACSUG Web site are the property of ACSUG and their authors and are considered protected works, according to that established in the provisions of the Royal Legislative Decree 1/1996 of 12 April approving the consolidated text of the Copyright Act, and the international treaties signed to this end are also applicable. Users may only reproduce the Web site contents in order to save them, make back-up copies or print on paper for exclusively private purposes. The following actions are forbidden, where the express written authorisation of ACSUG is not provided: • To totally or partially reproduce, distribute and present the contents of the ACSUG Web site or any of its elements by remote networks or similar supports, except where this is for strictly private use. • To insert an image present on the ACSUG Web site in a page not belonging to ACSUG. • To use a page of the Web site in a window not belonging to ACSUG. • To extract and use information from the Web site that damages ACSUG in breach of the provisions of Copyright Law. These actions will lead to the appropriate legal proceedings being taken by ACSUG. In terms of the hyperlinks, ACSUG must expressly authorise their setting up on other Web sites, provided that the corresponding pages appear in a full window under their corresponding addresses. All distinguishing signs, logos and, in general, symbols of any kind appearing on the ACSUG Web site and referring thereto are the property of ACSUG and are protected by current applicable legislation. 4. PERSONAL DATA PROTECTION ACSUG guarantees the confidentiality of the personal details provided by users and their treatment according to current legislation regarding personal data protection (Personal Data Protection Act 15/1999 of 13 December and Royal Decree 994/1999 of 11 June approving the Ruling for security measures on computerised files containing personal details) as well as all remaining applicable regulations. The personal details provided through the forms on the ACSUG Web site will be included in its files according to the purpose expressed therein. Users agree to the treatment of said personal details by ACSUG under the terms of the current personal data treatment policy. ACSUG has adopted the legally required personal data protection security levels and has installed all the means and technical measures available to avoid the loss, misuse, altering, unauthorised access and theft of the personal details provided. Despite this, users must be aware that the Internet security measures are not impregnable. The personal details requested from users will only include a general identification and any other that are strictly necessary for service provision. These details will be subject to treatment in the appropriate ACSUG files, and users will be provided with the appropriate technical resources to access this notice regarding the personal data treatment policy or any other relevant information before submitting their details and may give their agreement for ACSUG to process the personal details of users. Except in fields indicating otherwise, the answers to questions on personal details will be voluntary. ACSUG will expressly inform users as to the transferral of their personal details to others, indicating their identity and the purpose for which the personal details have been transferred. Hence, when users register with any of the Web site services managed by ACSUG, they will be asked for their agreement to transfer their personal details to ACSUG. ACSUG extends this personal data treatment protection policy to the provision of all its services. 5. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY ACSUG will not be held liable for damages and prejudicial consequences of any kind that may arise from the access to the contents, information, opinions and images provided by users or others and that are against the law, morality, good faith and public order, that are in breach of intellectual and industrial property rights or that contain defects, errors or computer viruses or similar software routines. APPLICABLE LAW AND JURISDICTION These General Conditions for Use are governed by Spanish law.
